St. Paul’s Lutheran Church holds Praise in the Park worship service and fellowship time

St. Paul’s Lutheran Church held their annual Praise in the Park on Sunday morning with the worship service beginning at 10 a.m.  Songs for service included “Praise to the Lord, the Almighty”, “O Little Flock, Fear Not the Foe”, and “The Lord, My God, Be Praised”.

Pastor Shawn Ethridge preached the sermon and special music was presented by the students who attended this year’s Vacation Bible School. They sang two songs entitled “Invocation” and “Alleluia”.

Worship was followed by a time of visiting, musical entertainment provided by local musicians and a meal of pork burgers, sweet corn and picnic-type foods.

Providing the musical entertainment during the time of visiting and the meal were Matt Saxman, Eileen Heintz, Robin Gehl, Tiffany Gehl, Melissa Gehl, Ted Kraft, Will Gehl and Mark Gehl. These musicians formed a German band and offered a variety of polka songs during their performance.
