Students at the Fulda Elementary School experiment with oobleck

In preparation for students at Fulda Elementary School to observe February, I Love to Read Month, staff  at the school have planned some fun activities to encourage reading skills. Not the least of which was the making of oobleck.

If you’ve ever made oobleck and played in it, then you know the kind of fun the students were enjoying on Thursday afternoon.  Students were assigned to teams and classrooms to make oobleck and experience what the Kingdom of Didd experienced with their king’s foolish wish.

Not familiar with oobleck?

In 1949 a book by the name of Bartholomew and the Oobleck, written by Dr. Seuss (Theodor Geisel), was published. The story follows the adventures of young Bartholomew Cubbins.
