Students community service project provides centerpieces for Uffda Hotdish Cook-off

Fulda Elementary School students were asked to make table centerpieces for the 2nd Annual Uff-da Hotdish Cook-off to be held on Friday, December 6th in the Fulda High School cafeteria.

The activity was scheduled for Wednesday, but area meteorologists predicting a winter storm, the activity was moved to Tuesday, November 26th.

Early in the day, class members, kindergarten through sixth grade, were mixed into other rooms throughout the school. Raider Time teams met together in several of the rooms. They listened as the teachers explained what table decoration they would be making, why they were making them and how they needed to be made.

Then they gathered the items they needed and began the process of using their art skills to make Christmas trees from paper plates, angels and santas from copier paper, reindeer heads from strips of construction paper, and Santa hats from red construction paper.
