A SUMMARY OF THE PROCEEDINGS OF THE MURRAY COUNTY BOARD

October 2, 8:30 a.m. Pursuant to notice, the Murray County Board of Commissioners convened with the following members present: Commissioners Jens, Gunnink, Kluis, Magnus and Thiner. Also present Ronda Radke and Travis Smith.

MSP to approve the agenda as modified.

MSP to approve the minutes from September 25, 2018 with corrections.

MSP and carried that all claims as presented were approved for payment. The Chairman was authorized to sign the Audit List dated October 2, 2018 with fund totals as follows and warrants numbered 157115 through 157159:

County Revenue Fund 108,808.82

County Road & Bridge Fund 5713.12

Self Insurance 25.00

Sunrise Terrace 287.00

SAWS 695.05

Total 115,528.99

MSP to approve the ditch contractor bills for County Ditch No. 7 and Judicial Ditch No. 17 totaling $4,628.00.

MSP to approve the ditch inspection report for County Ditches No. 6, 11, 51, 67 and Judicial Ditch No. 18.

MSP to approve Conditional Use Permit #1354, for Doug Kircher, Owanka Coded Lot 56, Section 56, Shetek Township, to use alternative elevation method to address floodplain violation in the Flood Fringe District of Lake Shetek with two special conditions recommended by the Planning Commission.

MSP to approve the Conditional Use Permit #1356, for Steven and Teresa Cooling, Lot 26, Block 4, Forman Acres, Section 6, Murray Township, to use alternative elevation method to elevate a structure in the Flood Fringe District of Lake Shetek with two special conditions recommended by the Planning Commission.

MSP to approve Soil and Water Conservation District’s 2018 third quarter appropriation in the amount of $46,569.75.

MSP to approve sending a letter of support for the Southwest Minnesota Opportunity Council’s Head Start Grant Application.

MSP Resolution No. 2018-10-02-01, Resolution Appointing Earl DeWilde, Randy Kraus, and Glen Grant to the Lincoln Pipestone Rural Water System Board of Commissioners.

Open Forum/Public Comment – Jennifer Kirchner spoke on mental health transports and would like clarification and to advocate for her services as the EMS director.
