A large crowd gathered outside of Mapleview Estates on Saturday morning awaiting the designated 9 a.m. start time of the annul Easter Egg Hunt. Adding to the joy of the morning was the bright sun and a gentle warm wind.
Maple Lawn Senior Care Center Activities Director, Annette Kremer, said that she was very happy to be able to have the egg hunt on the lawn at the center. For three years, due to inclement weather, the eggs were not able to be placed on the lawn and the young hunters would be on the patio at Mapleview Estates to choose their eggs from a large container. “This just makes me so happy to be able to have the egg hunt on the lawn. The children enjoy it so much more and so do their parents. I’m very grateful for the beautiful weather,” stated.
Exactly at 9 a.m., Kremer invited children 0-3 years of age to begin the egg hunt. Older children joined in the fun just a few minutes later.
More than 1,200 eggs were gathered by the hunters.
On the patio of Mapleview Estates, children and families were invited to have their photos taken with the Easter bunny. He was also very happy to be able to see so many children having fun searching for the colorful plastic eggs filled with treats.
