Terry Nelson, Tracy, has been named the new manager at the Fulda location of Country Pride Services. He is replacing Brian Pelzel, Heron Lake, who was the manager for twenty-eight years and is retiring as of Friday, February 15th.
Nelson grew up on a farm near Lake Shetek, and attended Tracy High School. He attended college at Southwest State University, majoring in Ag-Business. He has worked in the ag industry in southwest Minnesota for the past thirty years, including ADM in Marshall, Pioneer Seeds, Midwest Seed Genetics, Schwans Ice Cream, Independent Ag in Slayton, and Dairyland Seed.
“I was the district manager for sales in southwest Minnesota and a customer of mine knew that Brian was retiring, so he suggested that I talk to Country Pride. I did and they asked me to start working with Brian in August of this past year to learn from him,” Nelson stated. “Brian had done a very decent thing and given his retirement notice one year ahead of time.”
