During Friday night’s Fulda High School Homecoming football game against Westbrook-Walnut Grove High School, the FHS football team held a moment of silence in honor of Gene Winter who recently passed away. Winter had raised the American Flag at all FHS home games during the past 25 years. It was his way of honoring Fulda’s American Legion Post #318, and Fulda High School and its football team. Pictured in the above photo are (L) Bill Fuerstenberg and (R) Randy Kremer as they raised the flag on Friday evening. Kremer was Winter’s partner over the past several years for each flag raising.
