winners in the first ever Fulda UFFDA Hotdish Cook-Off was the Fulda TOPS Chapter #1037 with Vicki Deuschle and Barb Elsing representing the group. The event was held on Tuesday, December 4th, at Fulda High School with serving starting at 5:30 p.m.
Deuschle and Elsing volunteered to choose the recipes to make and enter in the cook-off.
Each one chose one recipe and then got together at Deuschle’s home to make the hotdishes.
The hotdish chosen by the judges as the first place winner is called Taco Noodle Dish. The other hotdish made by the ladies was like an egg bake with broccoli in it.
“We chose the recipes because they were healthy for you,” Deuschle commented.
“As a TOPS Chapter, we wanted to support the Parade of Lights in some way, and entering the cook-off with healthy recipes was a very good choice,” Elsing added.
