The Fulda boys traveled to Westbrook on Tuesday, January 10th. The Chargers, 7-2, proved to a tough test for the visiting Raider squad. A taller, quicker team limited Fulda’s ability to score.
Dalton Slinger had the hot hand on this particular night nailing six 3-pointers while dropping in 5-of-11 inside the paint to tally a season high 28 points.
Westbrook-Walnut Grove used a strong first half to earn an 8 point advantage at the break. They were able to maintain throughout the second half to gain the upper hand on the visiting Raiders and come away with the 66-53 victory.
Out sick for the night were Matthias Kunerth and Noah Salentiny.
Justin Dierks kicked off the scoring dropping in a bucket for Fulda. WWG’s Andrew Quade swished a 3-pointer and Cole Bunting followed up with a bucket to put the Chargers out front 5-2.
Leighton Gehl was finally able to add the Raider score as he nails a three to pull Fulda back within two, 5-7. Later Dierks found Jared Jans down low to knot the game at 7-7.
