Building a commanding 48-18 halftime lead, the Windom Eagles earned a 66-30 victory over the Heron Lake-Okabena/Fulda Coyotes in a non-conference high school girls’ basketball game last Monday night (February 3) at Windom.
Windom improved to 13-7 overall, while HL-O/F dropped to 3-18 overall.
“Windom is a very quick team, one through five,” Coyotes head coach Andy Oakland said. “They can all step out and shoot very well, but they can also take you off the dribble. Our defensive closeouts were slow, which either let them get a shot off or they were able to drive around us and get to the basket.”
