Warriors travel to Brandon for a 19 team individual tournament

The F/MCC Warriors traveled to Brandon SD to wrestle in a 19 team individual tournament.  The Warriors were supposed to have 6 wrestlers participate in the tournament, but 2 of them fell sick at the end of last week and were unable to wrestle.  The four wrestlers that participated were; Dawson Blankenship, Danny Blankenship, Ryder Henning and Rylan Behnke.

Dawson took the mat at 106# and first wrestled Tucker Bahm from Yankton.  Dawson was taken down in the first period and put to his back, Dawson never gave up and wrestled the full 6 minutes against Tucker losing to him by the score of 9-2.  Dawson collected a bye the next round and then wrestled Nate Sprenkle.  Dawson gave up a takedown right at the end of the 1st period and then escaped the second period to make the score 2-1 for his opponent.

Fulda/MCC Warriors take to the road to wrestle Marshall and Adrian

The Warriors traveled to Adrian on the 4th of January to wrestle in a triangular against the Marshall and Adrian.  First up for the Warriors was the Marshall Tigers.  Marshall is coming off of an appearance in the Final four of team sections last year and they are looking at getting back there this year.

The Warriors started off with Dawson Blankenship wrestling Connor Roth a 10th grader.  Dawson wrestled a tough match against Connor only to lose to him by the score of 8-1.  Last year Dawson lost to Roth via fall, so Dawson is showing improvement.  Next up for F/MCC was Danny Blankenship and he was matched up against Lucas Hodges.
